King Olav the 5th's Cancer Research Award to Åslaug Helland
Åslaug Helland, head of the NorTrials Cancer Centre, received King Olav the 5th's Cancer Research Award at a solemn ceremony held at the University of Oslo on Tuesday 2 May.

Every year since 1992, the Norwegian Cancer Society has awarded King Olav the 5th's Cancer Research Award to a cancer researcher or a research group that has contributed to improve the quality and extent of Norwegian cancer research.
The prize of 1 million Norwegian kroner is awarded to the best researchers within the whole specter of Norwegian cancer research and has high prestige in the Norwegian research environment. Every spring, the award is presented to the recipient by His Majesty King Harald at a ceremony held at the University of Oslo.
