NorTrials Meeting in Copenhagen
The Norwegian gastro community met representatives from the global pharmaceutical industry in stately surroundings at the Norwegian ambassador's residence in Copenhagen on 2 March.
The meeting participants were in town to attend the ECCO gastro conference. NorTrials used the opportunity to promote cooperation between Norwegian trial sites and industry.
Ambassador Katja Christina Nordgaard opened the meeting. Afterwards, head of NorTrials' coordinating unit, Signe Øien Fretland, gave a presentation and showed NorTrials' new promotional video. Rasmus Goll, head of the NorTrials center for gastrointestinal diseases, spoke about the centre's work and plans for national collaboration on clinical trials.
Plenty of time was set aside after the presentations for the representatives from industry and hospitals to become better acquinted, which will hopefully lead to more clinical studies in the gastro field in Norway.
